Asansol based Artist Sushant Roy honours Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ avatar by creating life size wax statue
No doubt of the fact that Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Pathaan’ has emerged as a game changer for Bollywood and the only film this year to turn as a blockbuster hit at the box office. While it has been months since the release of the film , yet, the ‘Pathaan’ fever refuses to die down.
Now, an artist Sushant Roy from Mohishila Colony in West Bengal’s Asansol has created a life-size wax statue of the actor’s ‘Pathaan’ avatar.
The artist, Sushant Roy made the life-size wax statue in two painstaking months, and the final piece is currently kept in his personal museum in Asansol. As the statue was unveiled to the public, hundreds of fans thronged to the venue to click selfies with the waxed version of the superstar.
According to Sushant, he has made numerous statues of Bollywood stars in the past, with ‘Pathaan’ being his ninth masterpiece. Asansol’s mayor, Vidhan Upadhyay, inaugurated the statue. He is expecting the statue to draw more tourists to Asansol.
On the work front, SRK will next be seen in Atlee’s ‘Jawan’ alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Sanya Malhotra. Apart from this, he also has Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ with Taapsee Pannu.
