Yami Gautam awaits with bated breath for the release of her next , ‘Oh My God 2’ on 11 August and is keeping her fingers crossed for the film’s success. For the second time she portrays the role of a lawyer. Earlier she had played a lawyer in ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu. However, the film didn’t manage to create any wonders and was a big dud at the ticket windows. OMG is her next outing as a lawyer.
‘Oh My God 2releases on 11 August. Apart from ‘OMG 2’, Yami will also be seen in ‘Dhoom Dhaam’.

Yami’s earlier films has been ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’
Besides the movie recognised for uplifting the spirit of patriotism in every Indian, it was also acknowledged for the power-packed performances by the cast including Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam Dhar.
While Vicky portrayed the role of a captain who was at the fore-front of the real life surgical strike, Yami too proved her mettle as an actor in the character of an intelligence officer.

‘Chor Nikal ke Bhaga’
The film touted to be her consecutive fourth release on a streaming platform after ‘A Thursday’, ‘Dasvi’, and ‘Lost’, Yami walked away with accolades from the audience, industry and critics alike for pulling off the role in the movie, which emerged as the most viewed Indian film on Netflix within two weeks of its premiere.

‘Kaabil’
Yami played One of the finest and vulnerable characters on screen so far, as a visually challenged woman in ‘Kaabil’ also featured Hrithik Roshan.
It was Yami’s career-defining role as the movie went on to perform well at the box office and was indeed Yami’s one of biggest releases to date.

‘Lost’
Yami gave an incredible performance as investigative crime reporter Vidhi Sahni who on a mission to unravel the truth. She shouldered the film exceptionally well by holding audiences’ attention with her nuanced performance.

‘A Thursday’
The film was a game-changer in Yami’s career, breaking from the conventional ‘girl next door image’. In the film, Yami plays Naina Jaiswal, a school teacher who holds 16 children hostage in a school. Yami received a lot of critical acclaim for her performance in the movie, also featuring Neha Dhupia and Atul Kulkarni in key roles. Helmed by Behzad Khambata, the movie won appreciations for its nail biting climax.

‘Bala’
Is a video content creator and the quintessentially beautiful Pari (played by Yami) falls in love with Bala (Ayushmann Khurrana), notwithstanding the fact that he is using a wig to hide his receding hairline. The two soon marry, however, their joy is shortlived as Pari learns the truth and faces the biggest dilemma of her life.
