Pallavi Joshi wins National Film Award in Best Actress Supporting role category
At the 69th National Film Awards, held in Delhi on 24 August, actres Pallavi Joshi was honoured with the Best Actress Supporting Role award for her performance in The Kashmir Files. She dedicated the award to the Kashmiri Pandit community. Pallavi essayed the role as Radhika Menon in the 2022 released film.
Pallavi shared in a statement, that she was in Chicago for the promotion of her new film
The Vaccine War helmed by her husband Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and she feels exceptionally happy on winning award. Obviously, course, every actor will feel happy but she is happier that her film of which she is a producer won the 69th National Award in the category of Best National Integration because that is very important for Agnihotris.
The award is hailed as one of the most prominent, and prestigious film award ceremonies in India.
While the award ceremony is organized every year, it was interrupted for 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Notedly, this year’s National Film Awards saw the attendancd by many new faces winning their first National Award.
Amid dedicating her award to the Kashmiri Pandit community, Pallavi shared in the same statement, that she dedicates this award to the entire Kashmiri Pundit community and all the prosecuted communities in the world who suffered at the hands of terrorism.
On the other hand, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon bagged their first National Award as they both won the Best Actress award at the 69th edition of the coveted film award for their performances in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively.
On the work front, Pallavi Joshi
will be seen in her husband Vivek Agnihotri directorial
“The Vaccine War”.
She headlines the film along with Anupam Kher and Nana Patekar.
Reportedly, the official teaser was unvield by the makers on August 15, 2023. The movie is based on the true events of the past two years and projects the scenario of how Indian scientists and the people of the country fought against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic. The teaser video also shows scientists developing a vaccine in a laboratory and Pallavi will be seen as a scientist along with her team of assistants.
Meanwhile, The Vaccine War is set to clash with Prabhas starrer Salaar as both films coincixentally releases on September 28, 2023.
