International Monetary Fund, in the midst of G20 Meet, on Saturday, lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his successful hosting the two-day G20 Summit in Delhi.
She posted a picture with PM Modi on her official X (formerly Twitter).

In the post on X, Gita Gopinath wrote, while lauding PM Modi on presiding over such a successful G20 Meet, India’s message of ‘one earth, one family, one future’ echoed strongly with all delegates.

She also exchanged pleasantries with President Droupadi Murmu amidst the dinner hosted at the much-raved about Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre.

Responding to Gita’s tweet,
PM Modi conveyed his thanks to Gita for her kind words. He added that It is an honor to host the G20 summit and that our efforts are a embodiment to the collective spirit of unity and progress.

Meanwhile, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman interacted with the first Deputy MD of the IMF, Gita Gopinath amid Ratri Bhoj par Samvad at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital.

For the World Leaders, the first day of the G20 Summit was packed with heavy engagements for the world leaders. The US, India, Brazil, an Africa reaffirmed their shared commitment to the G20.

The opening day of the G20 summit on Saturday witnessed several crucial developments, including the formal induction of the African Union to the group, 100 percent consensus on the Delhi Declaration, a biofuel alliance, and the announcement of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.

Meanwhile, India, US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Italy, and the European Union, on Saturday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the IECC EC.

India hosted the G20 Leader’s Summit in the national capital at the newly inaugurated Bharat Mandapam on September 9-10. The summit saw the presence by more than 30 heads of state and top officials from the European Union and invited guest countries and 14 heads of international organizations.
