It’s a well known fact that India’s many greatest players including Sachin Tendulkar,
MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and others had to reel through rough patches before attaining their present status.

However, Zaheer Khan, Indian Team’s fiery pacer has rarely gone wicketless in an ODI match. He is India’s World Cup star and one of the best bowlers in India till date with a bunch of records under his name. Zaheer Khan has played 200 ODIs in his international career and he got 282 wickets in the 197 innings in which he got the chance to bowl.

Zaheer Khan was good at bowling since childhood and after performing well in domestic tournaments, he made his international debut in 2000 when he was 22 years old. Zaheer played international cricket till 2014 and was a significant part of the team that won the 2011 World Cup. Zaheer finished the tournament as the joint highest wicket-taker along with Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi.

After bidding adieu to first class cricket, Zaheer continued to be part of IPL franchises as mentor. He has been associated with Mukesh Ambani owned Mumbai Indians for quite a long time now.

Recently, Zaheer was appointed as the Global Head of Cricket Development at Mumbai Indians. He was also appointed as bowling consultant for the India national cricket team in 2017. In the same year, he married Shah Rukh Khan’s Chak De! India co-star Sagarika Ghatge.

Zaheer Khan is also founder of a fitness and sports company ProSport Fitness and Services that offers fitness training and physiotherapy services. If reports are to be believed, Zaheer Khan’s net worth is more than $25 million.
