Virat Kohli travels Indigo flight to Bengaluru. Video goes viral
Virat Kohli got noticed as he boarded an Indigo flight from Kolkata to Bengaluru on Monday, a day after he equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record by scoring his 49th century in ODI cricket.
The India batter was clicked by a co-passenger as he took the first row seat on an Indigo flight after India’s win over South Africa.
Kohli has been in excellent form in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023. On Sunday, he scripted history by equalling Sachin Tendulkar’s record of scoring the highest number of centuries in ODI cricket. Kohli scored his 49th ODI century during the match against South Africa at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
A day following, he stunned the public by walking onto an Indigo flight sans fanfare or entourage. A video that has gone viral shows the 35-year-old boarding the flight. He was dressed casually in a striped T-shirt, cap and face mask as he took his seat next to a woman.
Kohli equalled Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI centuries with a brilliant 101 not out against South Africa on his 35th birthday in a World Cup.The century only further strengthened Kohli’s case of being one of the greatest players of modern times.
The century against South Africa was Kohli’s second of the tournament and fourth overall in all 50-over World Cups. The 35-year-old now has a total of 543 runs at this edition of the World Cup at an imposing average of 108.60.
Virat Kohli is not the first celebrity to fly Indigo. In February this year, Deepika Padukone was also filmed travelling on the low cost airline.
