Meet actress Ayesha Takia makes her acting debut at 14, does film with Salman, then bids adieu to acting
Ayesha Takia embarked on her film career at the tender age of 14, and did superhit film with Salman Khan. Later, she bid adieu to acting and converted to Islam for love.
Ayesha shot to fame after doing a film “Wanted”in which she shared screen space with Salman Khan. Markedly, the film
turned out to be one of the highest-grossing films of 2009, and for Ayesha, it was her biggest commercial success to date.
It has been observed many actors who make their debut in a superhit films and share screen with super stars, later bid adieu to acting quoting
personal reasons or after a series of flop films.
Ayesha was lucky that she got the privileve if sharing screen space besides Salman, Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor.
Later, her career went downhill the downhill after a series of flop films. Then she decided to quit acting and got married. It is learnt that she is leading a happy life away from the dazzling world of glamour and neons.
Notedly, she made her debut in 2004 with the ‘Taarzan: The Wonder Car’and was later seen in in many other successful films such as ‘Socha Na Tha’, ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’, and ‘Paathshaala’.
Many may not be aware that Ayesha began her career as a model and gained recognition from Falguni Pathak’s music video ‘Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye’ at the age of 14 in 2000.
Her last release was a film titled ‘Mod’, which proved a debacle at the box-office.
Ayesha is married to her boyfriend Farhan Azmi, a restaurateur, and son of Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi, in 2009, at the age of 23.
She changed her last name to Takia Azmi after marriage and converted to Islam. The couple welcomed a son soon after their marriage.
Ayesha Takia currently lives in Goa and helps her husband with his business ventures.
