Sharmila Tagore recalled that she bought cars, houses in her own name and never shared assets with hubbyTiger Pataudi.

Sharmila Tagore recently revealed over an interview that while in her teens she started making her own money when and although it took her some time to take control of her finances, Sharmila revealed said that she had an understanding with her late husband Mansoor Ali Khan (Tiger) Pataudi where the assets they bought with their own money, were in their own names with joint financial assets.

On Paisa Vaisa, the veteran actor said none of her assets were shared between her and her husband. “Everything that she purchased, assets as in houses, cars or anything material, jewellery has always been in her name. It’s not been shared, not in her husband’s name. And what Tiger has, has been in his name and of course, he made a will.

Sharmila also claimed that in Islam, one is not allowed to make a will but they had to think about it. “In Islam, they are not allowed to make a will so you have to think about that. You can give it to non heirs, but you cannot give it to your heirs… 25%, 50% like that. So that needs to be very well understood. They own a lot of land so that needs to be looked at and controlled and make sure that whose name She has 3 children Soha and Saba and a son Saif.

She ensures that everything is in order.
The actor said that she became aware of her financial portfolio much later in life and before that, she had never taken an active interest in that.

In fact, she shared that it was during the pandemic that she actually took matters in her own hands and started working towards managing her wealth.
