Following a successful theatrical release in India last year, Prabhas and Prithviraj’s film Salaar gears up to take over Japan from July 5

Hombale Films ‘Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire’ has coined examples of its success across the globe. The film offered the masses never-before-seen action sequences, strong storytelling, emotional quotient, and performances of Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Notedly, the film ruled the box office with whooping collection of Rs 700+ Cr. Even as the film emerged as the biggest blockbuster of the year, it is now, all set to conquer the international boundaries with its release in Japan.

Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran who plays Vardharaja Mannaar in the film showers praises for the movie and director Prashanth Neel.

Afore the theatrical release of the film last year, Prithviraj talked about ‘Salaar’. “On top of all the spectacular action, huge set pieces, it is a drama. He used to keep telling Prabhas that ‘Salaar’ is like Game of Thrones and keep comparing because it is an intense drama with very intricate character dynamics.

Prithviraj further revealed that he heard the narration of the film in Hyderabad from Neel when he was shooting for his Malayalam film ‘Bro Daddy’.

He said that Prabhas was first person he called after listening to the narration and told him that it is ‘about time’ that he did a film like ‘Salaar’. “Because even as a filmmaker, he is excited to see him in this space.

Praising Prabhas, Prithviraj says that he is one of those huge stars delightfully unaware of his own stardom. He will be on set, and the last person to sit down. If another actor doesn’t have a chair, he will keep standing till they don’t get one. He is a gentleman. Never once did he feel that he is in another industry, so he is not the lead star on a set. That thought didn’t even cross his mind.

Prabhas is a big star but comfortable and secure enough to have another actor play such a big role, have screen time and so much importance throughout the film.
