In a rare gesture Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan assisted Deepika Padukone off-stage at
Kalki 2898 AD pre-release event
in Mumbai. However, Prabhas caught her hand first.
Notably, Mother-to-be Deepika Padukone looked dazzling as she made a starry entry at the pre-release event for Kalki 2898 AD in Mumbai. A viral clip from the event shows lead actor Prabhas and legendary star Amitabh Bachchan rushing to help Deepika off the stage. However, Prabhas caught her hand first, prompting the senior Bachchan to tease him for beating him to it, resulting in a hilarious moment.
Following a brief introduction of her character played at the event, Deepika made her entry on stage. She shared her work experience with director Nag Ashwin, terming it great. The senior Bachchan called it a completely new world. They navigated through different phases of discovering what this movie was about, but he thinks the magic that is in Nagi’s head is now finally here for everyone to see which they spotted along the way.
It was while Deepika was exiting the stage, both Prabhas and Amitabh rushed to help her.
The Nag Ashwin’s directorial Kalki 2898 AD is a post-apocalyptic film set in the year 2898 AD. The cast also includes Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in significant roles. With an estimated budget of
Rs 600 crore, Kalki 2898 AD is touted to be one of India’s most ambitious and expensive productions. The much-anticipated film is set for theatrical release on June 27.
