The letter, written shortly following the release of the 1989 Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial hit film “Maine Pyar Kiya resurfaced on social media. It ensnares the Bhai’s Khan’s deep gratitude towards his fans.
In the letter, dated April 1990, Salman Khan has thanked his fans for the exceptional response to his starrer “Maine Pyar Kiya,” a film that catapulted him to a major star in Hindi cinema.
He addresses his fans with a warm message, saying,
“Here is a little something I want you guys to know about me. First, I have to thank you for accepting me and for being my fans.”
The letter also mentions Khan’s focus on going choosy for quality based scripts following the blockbuster success of “Maine Pyar Kiya.” He acknowledges that his future work will be compared to the iconic film, and ensures to give his best to meet those expectations. “I am doing and concentrating on good scripts to the best of my judgment because I know that whatever I do now will be compared to ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’,”.
Khan also recounts about the strong bond he shares with his fans, candidly admitting that their support is crucial to his career. “I love you and I hope that you will keep on loving me because the day you stop loving me, you’ll stop seeing my films and that is the end of my career,” he states, showcasing the significance of his fans’ loyalty.
