Actor Siddharth was honoured with the Best Actor (Critics’) award for Tamil movie Chithha at the 69th Filmfare Awards South 2024. The movie also won the Best Film – Tamil award, while Nimisha Sajayan bagged the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) – Tamil award. In total, Chithha won 7 awards at the prestigious event which held in Hyderabad.

Taking to her social media handle Aditi Rao Hydari congratulated actor Siddharth and shared an adorable photo of him holding two Filmfare awards. Alongside the photo, she wrote, “2=7! 7 for chithha at filmfare 2024. Congratulations to the team! When artistry is rewarded, when good people win, when good cinema wins, we all win. world of siddharth.”

She further went on to add “More power to you, to your hard work, your determination to tell stories from the heart, more power to push for craft, to work against all the odds with a childlike joy! Keep creating, keep dreaming, may the little cinema boy in you always be brimming with ideas and excitement with the utmost curiosity and honesty. To your very own own ‘cinema Paradiso’ legacy “ you learnt from the best and here you are… simply and effortlessly the bestest!”

In his winning speech for Best Actor (Critics’) – Tamil, Siddharth thanked his mother, Aditi, and more for their support. Noting the moment to be special to him, Siddharth wished to achieve more Filmfare awards in the future.
