Aishwarya Rai Bachchan off late has been headlining for her personal life. Speculations were rife that her married life with Abhishek Bachchan had hit a
rocky road and this was stoked up following her entry to the
Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant sans the Bachchan family with daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
But, there was a time when the actress had recounted on not desiring to discard her image to get significant roles in the film industry. Furthermore, she had also opened up on craving to emerge like Hema Malini and her now mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan, referring to the respect they have gotten till now.
Aishwarya further quoted that she was happy with the roles she has been getting due to her image and that she would not discard it with her clothes. Adding that she is contented even if she receives no work in the future because of this and no way she will compromise. That she would feel ashamed if her in-laws, husband, and child were ‘embarrassed’ seeing her in a particular role.
For the unversed, there were strong speculations that the actress’ in-laws Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan were not too happy seeing her bold scenes with co-star Ranbir Kapoor in the 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
She said that she wishes to attain the same respect as Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan, who have received much adoration because of their glorious filmography. That it is important for someone like Zeenat Aman to exist, too.
Aishwarya furthermore said that her stardom might fade after ten years, but her family life will remain forever.
Whereas Abhishek confirms that he is still maintaining his married life with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan amid strong divorce rumors and slammed the media for blowing matters out of proportion.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aishwarya was last seen in the Tamil film Ponniyin Selvan 2, a sequel to its OG super-hit 2022 film. The Mani Ratnam’s directorial also featuring Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, and Sobhita Dhulipala in the lead roles.
