Ashwiny Iyer’s “Bareilly Ki Barfi” has clocked seven years since its successful release. The film had won appreciation for Ashwiny Iyer for her deft direction. The filmmaker penned a long note and expressed gratitude.

The film based on Nicolas Barreau’s novel, The Ingredients of Love features Rajkummar Rao, Kriti Sanon, and Ayushmann Khurrana. The comedy-drama grossed over
Rs 60 crore against the budget of Rs 20 crore.

Ashwiny shared a series of BTS photos with her Bareilly Ki Barfi actors from the film set. She dropped unseen pictures with Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Kriti Sanon. Sharing the snaps on the instagram, she wrote, “Gratitude for the love And specially to you Amma, the cinema lover. She made Bareilly ki Barfi when the kids were 5 years old. But with Amma’s insane confidence in her and telling that there is no reason to feel guilty to follow her dream.

The other half of Ashwiny’s note read, that she is there. Amma”s words gave her the wings to follow the uncharted path. Now when she looks back there are so many anecdotes that she will savour always and hopes to continue to tell stories from the heart and make all proud.

In Bareilly Ki Barfi, Kriti Sanon was seen Bitti Mishra while Pankaj Tripathi played her on-screen father Narottan Mishra. Seema Pahwa essayed the part of her mother Susheela Mishra. As for Rajkummar, he was seen as Pritam Virodhi and Ayushmann was Chirag Dubey in the 2017 film.
