KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya made their debut on Koffee With Karan. But they weren’t aware that their controversial remarks would lead to a temporary suspension from the Indian cricket team-a huge blow that left the Lucknow Super Giants captain “scarred.”

In the midst of his appearance on Koffee With Karan, Hardik he informed his parents when he lost his virginity saying, “Aaj mai karke aaya.” If that’s not enough, Karan Johar asked the cricketers how they would decide if they hit upon the same woman. While Rahul said he would leave it to the lady, Pandya responded, “Nahi nahi aisa kuch nahi hai, talent pe hota hai. Jisko mila woh leke jao.”

Their statements turned out to be debatable issue and both the cricketers were slammed for their allegedly “sexist, misogynistic, and racist” remarks and got suspended by the BCCI and ousted from a three-match ODI series against Australia.

KL Rahul while breaking his silence over the issue said he had restricted himself, and while he had no problem being in a huge group of people earlier, that’s no longer the case.

He went on to add that, he didn’t know and will never do, because that (KWK) interview massively scarred him. Getting suspended from the team. He went on to add that he has never been suspended or punished in school..All this has never happened to him and he doesn’t know how to handle it. He has indulged in mischievous things in schools like chota mota (small things), but nothing to got him expelled from school or his parents have had to come.

But,the Koffee With Karan Season (KWK interview and subsequent backlash) was his first fall.

On the personal front, KL Rahul is happily married to actress Athiya Shetty.
