In a recent media interaction Om Raut the director of ‘Adipurush’ quotes that Prabhas and Salman Khan have not given flop films, adding that Ups & downs cannot affect them.

Adipurush featured Prabhas and Kriti Sanon.and directed by Om Raut garnered widespread criticism for its treatment, dialogues, VFX and performances555 While the film at the box office, the director defended the film and said that Prabhas is flop-proof along with Salman Khan as they both have huge fan followings.

He further added that ups and downs cannot affect them because the audience’s love for them is beyond comprehension.

Talking about the box office performance, he added, “Our first day was ₹70 crore, and that’s just in India. Our total box office was over ₹400 crore. So, the numbers were very large… With Adipurush, there was a loss of perception, not a loss of revenue. If the perception was positive, if the perception was under control, we would’ve seen an exorbitant number, which we did not see. That was disappointing.”

Talking about the review, Firstpost gave Adipurush 2 stars and wrote, that while the While filmmaker used heavy VFX to make it visually appealing to youth, this decision has unfortunately overpowered the storytelling.

However, the the screenplay played a big loophole as it failed to their attention and keep us glued to our seats. With the runtime of 3 hours, one would expect a water-tight screenplay and razor-sharp editing but sadly, it makes the cine goer lose his interest due to many unnecessary songs and sequences, which does nothing but hamper the experience.

Also, the decision of narrating this story in a dark atmosphere looked completely wrong as it leaves you with a gloomy experience. The addition of animated characters and their superpowers reminds you of MCU and DC characters like The Flash, Rocket from The Guardians of the Galaxy and others. In fact, it also takes you to parts of The Hobbit and Gotham City from The Batman.”
