Legendary filmmaker to screen the film for its milestone

Legendary filmmaker and showman Subhash Ghai in a bid to honour the milestone of his musical film “Taal” is screening the film on 20 September.

This event is expected to draw significant attention, with several key figures from the film industry confirming their attendance.

Notedly, Taal, a musical drama released in 1999, is celebrated for its memorable performances and memorable soundtrack composed by AR Rahman. The film features Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Akshaye Khanna, and has left an indelible mark on Indian cinema. Even as it celebrates its 25th anniversary, it continues to resonate with audiences, making it a fitting occasion for a special celebration.

Notable guests include Anil Kapoor, AR Rahman, Subhash Ghai, and Shiamak Davar, all of whom played pivotal roles in the film’s success.

While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Akshaye Khanna’s attendance remains uncertain, the event will also invite other important members of the film’s crew. The screening will also be interactive, allowing fans to engage with the film’s stars.

Recently, Subhash Ghai had recalled casting Akshaye Khanna in Taal and shared with the media that he found great intensity in that young boy. He could feel from inside that he is a character on his face who speaks the truth, thinks the truth, and acts the truth. He feels glad that he cast him. Had that character been artificial, it would not have worked on screen despite good music. All distributors and music companies were with Subhash Ghai even after casting a new boy. Till today, that young boy named Akshaye Khanna has not changed. He does not belong to that category on the ones who depend on their agents, brands, and how they should look.
