It’s a well-known fact in Bollywood that number of actresses after working in a couple of films bid adieu to acting citing personal reasons

Now comes a news that Suman Ranganathan acknowledged for her performance in films namely Baghban and Aa Ab Laut Chalen and infact she was well-known in the 90s. Abruptly, she went on a hiatus for a long period and the reason for quitting from the glam world is still not known.

Suman set foot to Bollywood and made her debut in the film ‘Fareb’ which got released in 1996.
The Vikram Bhatt-directorial besides Suman Ranganathan featured Faraaz Khan and Milind Gunaji in the leads. The film turned out to be a big hit at the box-box-office.
In the following years, she was seen in several projects which featured some of the biggest names in the industry that includes Hum Ho Gaye Aapke, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, and Baghban.

Reportedly, she tied the knot to Bunty Walia an entrepreneur and a film producer.
Just a few months following their marriage, reports of tension amid the twosome started surfacing in the media. It was reported that the couple had an argument in the midst of Ekta Kapoor’s party. A week after the reports of their quarrel, Bunty Walia claimed to the media that she had sent a notice demanding
Rs 2 lakh as alimony, a Pali Hill flat and a car. By May 2007, the two decided to split. Suman Ranganathan then married Sajan Chinnappa in 2019.

She was last seen in the Vijaya Prasad’s directorial Kannada film Thothapuri: Chapter 2, which released last year. Vijaya Prasad was also credited as its writer. The film’s cast includes Jaggesh, Dhananjay, Aditi Prabhudeva and was It produced by K A Suresh, while the music was composed by Arun Andrews and Hemanth Subrahmanya. The film is a sequel to the 2022 film, Thothapuri 1.

Suman Ranganathan’s last Bollywood film was the Neeraj Phatak’s directorial Gumnaam – The Mystery, released in 2008. The film also featured Mahima Chaudhry, Dino Morea and Irrfan Khan. Shubir Mukherjee produced the film while Nadeem-Shravan composed the music.
