SLB’s “Love And War” Seals chartbusting deals
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming epic film, “Love & War”, reportedly secured chartbusting deals for its streaming and music rights.
Featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, the camera rolls for the film next month. After the incredible success of his web series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” on Netflix, Bhansali’s solo production venture is much-anticipated.
As per industry insiders, Netflix has acquired the streaming rights for “Love & War” for a base price of ₹130 crore, with the potential to rise depending on the film’s box office success.
Markedly, Bhansali has acquired a lucrative music rights deal with Saregama for an estimated ₹35 crore. The director is also in advanced talks with a leading television network for the satellite rights, valued at around ₹50 crore.
The production budget for “Love & War” is estimated to be around ₹200 crore, excluding the lead actors’ fees. Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal Kaushal have opted for back-end deals with Bhansali, linking their remuneration to the film’s box office performance. Ranbir Kapoor is reportedly set to receive a significant portion of the theatrical revenue. With a release date slated for Christmas 2025, expectations are high for this epic film.
As Bhansali’s first solo production venture post-“Heeramandi”, “Love & War” is generating significant buzz. The record-breaking deals for streaming and music rights underscore the film’s potential for success.
