PM Modi embarks on his three-day visit to US for Quad Summit

PM Modi on Saturday jetted-off to US on a three-day visit to attend the Quad summit and address ‘Summit of the Future’ at the UN general assembly.

He will also be meeting the US President Joe Biden. The two leaders will “review and identify new pathways to further deepen India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership for the benefit of our people and the global good.”

In a statement prior to his departure, he said that”today, he is embarking on a three day visit to the US to participate in the Quad Summit being hosted by President Biden in his hometown Wilmington and to address the Summit of the Future at the UN General Assembly in New York.

On interaction with the Indian diaspora in the US, PM Modi said, he eagerly looks forward to engage with the Indian diaspora and important American business leaders, who are the key stakeholders and provide vibrancy to the unique partnership between the largest and the oldest democracies of the world.

*On September 21, PM Modi will participate in the fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, hosted by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.

*On September 22, he will Modi address a gathering of the Indian community.

Further, he will interact with CEOs of leading US-based companies to foster greater collaborations between the two countries in the cutting-edge areas of AI, quantum computing, semiconductors and biotechnology.

Interaction with thought leaders and other stakeholders active in the India-US bilateral landscape.

⁠On September 23, he will address ‘Summit of the Future’ at UNGA in New York.

On reports of a meeting Amid PM Modi and former US President Donald Trump, ministry of external affairs had denied to provide any information saying that there are many meetings with the PM right now which they are trying to fix. Right now, unable tell about any specific meeting, whether the meeting has been fixed or not.

The foreign secretary Vikram Misri said that they are looking from all angles as to how much time they have and with whom they can hold meetings. They’ll keep updating about the meetings

This came following Trump’s address in a rally that he was looking forward to meet “fantastic” leader PM Modi.
