Manasi Parekh TV and Gujarati film actress shares her struggle in the industry

Manasi Parekh needs no introduction. She is
a very popular face on the small screen (Television) and in Gujarati films.

In the midst of her media interaction, Manasi recounted sans mincing words that she has no family in the industry- Mumbai’s Bollywood, no network, no mentor of so called ‘Godfather’ to help me get film assignments.

Notably, she has been consistently working since 20 years and now she is the proud winner of a National Award for a Gujarati film ‘Kutch Express’ produced by her.

You cant accomplish anything overnight. Every job irrespective of its nature may take time, but if you’re consistent at it, nothing can stop.

After working for 20 years, she has won her first National Award for a Gujarati film that she produced herself, Kutch Express.

“When you have really worked hard in your life and it comes to you at a point when you think you deserve it, that moment is priceless,” Manasi tells Ronjita Kulkarni/Rediff.com.

Then, there’s the other side to her: The hands-on mom to a seven year old.

Amidst peels of laughter she further revealed that talking to him she has three kids playing in her house. They have turned the whole house upside down. But really, there’s much more to her.
