Russian President Vladmir Putin praises Indian Films
Russian President Vladmir Putin is all praise for Indian Films
and hints at potential discussions to enhance the distribution of Indian Films in Russia. He emphasises the deep cultural ties amid Russia and India noting the long-standing popularity of Indian cinema among Russian audiences.
Putin Highlights that Indian Films are the most popular in Russia, citing the biggest example being the most famous song from Raj Kapoor’s film “Shree 420”- ‘Mera Juta Hai Japani, Ye Patlun Engalistani Sar Pe Lal Topi Rusi, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani’.
Recently, several Indian films have been shot in Russia including Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger 3, Pathaan, Runway 34, Rockets and Cobra.
Raj Kapoor’s films have been very popular with the Russian Audiences.
This was conveyed to PM Modi amidst the recent meet.
