Meenakshi Sheshadri is desperately desiring an item song in a film at 60 to change everybody’s mindset.
Undoubtedly, Meenakshi was one of the most glamourous actress of 80s and 90s, acknowledged for her excellent dancing skills.
In the dance reality show Jalak Dikhlala on 11 December 2023, she expressed her keen desire and said that she would be the ideal choice to bring the energy and flair needed for a memorable item song a first in her career to break sterotypes.
Infact, Sheshadri challenged the notion that only young actresses or those with a specific look can perform item numbers aiming to prove that talent and charisma transcend age and appearance.
In the dance reality show Jalak Dikhlala Jaa, Meenakshi Sheshadri appeared as a guest and entertained the audience by performing one of her most hit songs, ‘Ding Dong O Baby Sing a Song’ from her superhit film Hero. The audience was very much impressed with her impressive dance moves.
She appeared alongwith the judges of the show Farhan Khan, Malaika Arora, Arshad Warsi and hosts on this show.
Meenakshi Sheshadri is a passionate and well trained dancer in Kuchipudi Bharthanatyam, Katak and Odissi dance forms. Her dancing movements are amazing and she has given stage performances many times at popular dance festivals.
She had exhibited her exquisite dancing skills in many of her films also. For the last time she appeared in the film Ghatak in 1996 alongside Sunny Deol. Now she craves to make a bold comeback with an item song.
