Notwithstanding the rise of OTT platforms Tamil film industry has not made many memorable web series.
However, one series that stood out was Suzhal: The Vortex.
Created by Pushkar-Gayathri, this criminal investigation thriller features Parthiban, Kathir, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Nivedithaa Satish.
The first season, which aired in 2022, was a big hit and resonated well with viewers all over. Now, the creators are preparing to release its second season.
The new season starts streaming on Amazon Prime Video in December or January.
Suzhal is one of the few Tamil web series to get a sequel, showcasing its popularity and success.
The upcoming season will revolve around the Ashtakaali festival in Kaalipattanam, introducing new dark secrets and crime mysteries.
In this season, viewers will see Kathir take on the role of a determined cop investigating the death of a well-known lawyer.
Suzhal season 2 will be produced by Wallwatcher Films
