Ram Gopal Varma reacts to Allu Arjun’s successful starrer in ‘Pushpa 2’
Maverick Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma expressed his thoughts on the massive success of Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ and highlighted how a non-Hindi speaking actor like Allu Arjun has emerged as a pan-Indian star. He remarked that, following the film’s success, the term ‘pan India’ has now evolved into ‘Telugu India.’
In a recent tweet, Ram Gopal showered praise on Allu Arjun. He wrote, “The Biggest Hindi Film ever in the history of Bollywood is a Dubbed Telegu FilmPushpa2.
Earlier, after watching Allu’s performance, Ram lauded his portrayal as Pushparaj, emphasizing how the actor transformed his character’s deformity into a unique strength.
He highlighted that Allu’s performance brought a fresh and powerful body language to the role, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
Varma noted how the actor achieved pitch-perfect execution, making even unrealistic scenes appear real. He concluded that the film and character blend seamlessly, creating a dynamic where it’s hard to distinguish whether the character is shaping the film or vice versa.

Seeing a character like Pushpa is one of those extremely rare occurrences. He actually believed that a character like Pushpa can really exist in reality, even though it’s placed within a very commercial, mainstream format that often suspends reality,” he shared on Twitter.
Recently, amidst the success party of ‘Pushpa 2’, director Sukumar shared that he was initially skeptical about releasing the movie in other languages, but SS Rajamouli pushed him to release it in Hindi. He shared that if he didn’t release it in other languages, it would not become a pan-Indian film and would remain just a Telugu movie.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ also features Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in key roles. The movie has crossed almost Rs 600 crore worldwide within just three days of its release.
