With Retro, four of the most anticipated biggies of Kollywood have already locked their release dates for Summer 2025.
Kamal Haasan’s Mani Ratnam directorial Thug Life, was the first movie to lock a Summer 2025 slot, announcing that it will be released on 5
June.
After Thug Life, a few days ago, Dhanush’s third directorial venture, Idly Kadai, officially announced that it will be releasing on April 10.
After Idly Kadai, Ajith Kumar’s most anticipated Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, will also be released on April 10, clashing with Dhanush’s Idly Kadai.
Notedly, there is a strong buzz that Sivakarthikeyan’s next movie with AR Murugadoss, tentatively titled SK 23, is also aiming for a Summer 2025 release.
It looks like Summer 2025 in Kollywood is demanding extra weekends, as many movies are set to release amidst this period.
Last year, Summer Kollywood only saw medium-budget movies such as Garudan and Maharaja being released, but this year, Kollywood is packed with back-to-back biggies for the Summer.
