Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was removed from five movies which featured Shah Rukh Khan like ‘Chalte Chalte’ and ‘Veer Zaara’. Once

Simi Garewal had asked Aishwarya about it on her show and she had said that she didn’t ask why she was removed. She had said that her dignity is very dear to her and it’s not in her nature to ask.

She further went on to add that if a person would have wanted to explain themselves, they would have and if they did not, may be they never intend to. The actress maintained a dignified silence. However, SRK had later apologised.

In an interview, he said that he wasn’t the only producer and thus, it was not in his hand. He further added, “Very saddened at the fact that Aishwarya was a very close friend, he has done some really wonderful films with her and he genuinely meant that. She has been one of his favourite co-actresses and they have done some really nice work
Josh, Mohabbatein, Devdas and enjoyed together, and will get along really well.

Personally, it is very saddening for something to reach at this level. He felt very sorry about it and genuinely do.

Meanwhile, Jaya Bachchan had said in in 2008, that she does hold it against Shah Rukh. “Of course, she does, further adding, she hasn’t had the opportunity to discuss it with him and she going to speak to him about it. If he was at her home, she would have slapped him, just as she would on own son. But connected with him in her soul, and that’s it.” She had also said, that she has a weakness for Shah Rukh Khan.

After SRK apologised, they burried the hatchet and at the moment, they remain friends. Abhishek continues to be quite close to Khan and is now also going to share screen space with him in ‘King’ reportedly.
