Veteran Director Mani Ratnam is at present busy with his upcoming film Thug Life, featuring Kamal Haasan in the lead. The movie is gearing up for its theatrical release soon.

As per buzz rumours Mani Ratnam will take a different route after Thug Life. Instead of working on a star-studded or big-budget film, plans are afoot for a quick project featuring fresh faces.
This move aims to introduce new talent to the industry, with Madras Talkies reportedly handling the production.
There’s no official confirmation yet, but many believe this is a thoughtful step by the director to support emerging talent.
The shooting of Thug Life is currently in progress, with the release date set for June 5, 2025.
