Traffic relief for Mumbai as 5 key bridges to open soon
It’s learned that five bridges – Vikhroli, Reay Road, Byculla, Gokhale bridge and Carnac connector will be thrown open to traffic between February and June this year. The 160-year-old Carnac Bunder bridge, located amid the Masjid Bunder railway station and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, was declared dangerous by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay
The Gopal Krishna Gokhale bridge, a crucial east-west connector in Andheri, is likely to be completed by April 2025.
