Rajkumar Santoshi directorial Andaz Apna Apna set for re-release
Amidst the recent trend of producers cashing on re-,release of their earlier films, veteran filmmaker Raj Kumar Santoshi plans for re-release of Andaz Apna Apna, featuring Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Over the years the film has acquired a cult status. The film is expected to hit the theatres in April.
Buoyed by the retro-
The original producers of the film Vinay Pictures, helmed by Namrata, Priti and Amod Sinha, children of Vinay Kumar Sinha are bringing the film back on the big screen.
As per Priti,they want to re-release the film on a grand scale and have restored and remastered the film in 4K and Dolby 5.1 sound. It’s their tribute to their father Vinay who stood against all odds to make this film and they feel tremendously proud of this legacy
Priti further adds that It was her father’s dream amidst his lifetime to re-release Andaz Apna Apna. It is finally happening in a re-mastered form.
Raj Kumar Santoshi is completely committed to the project. We hope Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor will come forward to promote and market this film. She is for sure Andaz Apna Apna is as important for us as it is for them.”
