The entire Kapoor Khandaan got together for the celebration. Several photos and videos from the party surfaced on social media. One specific video gained a lot of attention due to a rare appearance by Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kapoor’s son Karan Kapoor. He was seen posing alongside Neetu Kapoor and Kunal Kapoor, and fans couldn’t stop gushing over the former actor.

A video shared by photographer Viral Bhayani shows Neetu Kapoor posing with her brothers-in-law Karan Kapoor and Kunal Kapoor. Karan looked dashing in a white shirt and denim jeans, and fans were delighted to see him after many years. One fan commented, “He is still dashing as ever,” while another one wrote, “He was also famous for a role in movie Saltanat.”

Another fan commented, “V still know this man As Bombay Dyeing Man.”

For the unversed, he was the face of Bombay Dyeing in the early 90s, and is still known as the Bombay Dyeing man, almost three decades after he stopped appearing in the ad. Another fan wrote, “Karan was so handsome he should have gone to Hollywood or British Cinema.”

Karan Kapoor is the son of Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kapoor. He has two siblings- brother Kunal Kapoor, who has acted in many Bollywood films, and sister Sanjana Kapoor, who runs the Prithvi Theatre. The eighties heartthrob entered the film industry with the 1978 film ‘Junoon’, written and directed by Shyam Benegal. The cast included Shashi Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Jennifer Kendal and Naseeruddin Shah. He made his debut as a mainstream actor in the 1986 film, Sultanat alongside Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Juhi Chawla. As an actor, he appeared in five films, including Junoon, 36 Chowringhee Lane, Sultanat, Loha and Afsar. He was also a popular model, made famous by the Bombay Dyeing ad campaign.

After dabbling in films, he moved to the UK in 1988 and started a career in photography. He is now an award-winning photographer based in London. He is a father of two, a daughter Aliya Kapoor and a son Zak Kapoor, whom he shares with Lorna Kapoor. He now runs a photography company in the UK.

In a 2016 interview with Rediff, Karan Kapoor was asked if he would like to make a comeback in the movies. He replied, he would love to. But doesn’t if anyone wants to see him on the screen again.
