Runway 34″ clocks 3 years- Rakul Preet Singh celebrates the occasion
On Tuesday, 28 April, the Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh’s edge-of-the-seat thriller “Runway 34″ clocked three years.
To celebrate the occasion Rakul took to social media and dropped her video on her Instagram Stories featuring some of her crucial moments from the film. As it progressed, the clip read, “Celebrating three years of Runway 34.”
Ajay Devgn directorial, film follows the story of a fictionalised Jet Airways flight from Doha to Kochi that had trouble landing at Cochin International Airport due to poor weather and low visibility in 2015.
The pilots, facing a
near-catastrophic situation, are forced to make a blind landing.
The film then analyses the subsequent inquiry and legal ramifications.
In the film, Rakul portrayed the role of Tanya Albuquerque, who is Ajay Devgn’s co-pilot. Her character is part of an investigation into an emergency landing. Ajay, on the other hand, played Captain Vikrant Khanna, a flying prodigy who landed a flight with his eyes closed. Amitabh played Narayan Vedant, who led the investigation. The film also featured Boman Irani, Angira Dhar and Aakanksha Singh in pivotal roles.
Regardless getting positive reviews from fans and critics alike, the Ajay Devgn directorial did not perform as per expectations at the box office. Runway 34 was the actor’s third directorial after U Me Aur Hum and Shivaay.
Runway 34 was Rakul’s second collaboration with Ajay following the success of their 2019 romantic comedy De De Pyaar De. The duo has also worked in the comedy-drama Thank God.
Talking about her other projects, Rakul was last seen in the comedy-drama film Mere Husband Ki Biwi co-starring Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. The Mudassar Aziz . directorial film released in February this year and failed to impress audiences at the box office. It is currently streaming on the OTT platform JioHotstar.
She will be next seen in the highly anticipated sequel De De Pyaar De 2, along with Ajay and R Madhavan. The film is slated to hit the big screens in November this year. Apart from that, she also has Kamal Haasan’s Indian 3 in her kitty.
