comes as a shocking news that Disha Vakani who plays the character of “Dayaben” in “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” rudely surprised the viewers and her fans when she grooved in a bikini. The video has since gone viral.
She was on indefinite maternity leave in 2018 and has never returned ever since.
However, recently,her old video showing her grooving her heart out has surfaced on social media..In the clip, the actress has ditches her traditional saree look and is seen grooving in a shiny silver bikini top with matching short skirt. She opts for silver eye makeup and a ponytail and looks completely different.
Although the details of the video’s origin are not known as of now, it is said to be from one of Disha Vakani’s initial projects. Watch it here.

The video has been gaining a lot of popularity on social media. TMKOC fans flocked to the comments section, sharing amusing responses. Some joked that Dayaben has definitely outshone Babitaji, while others posted Jethalal, aka Dilip Joshi, GIFs from the show.
“Bapuji be like:- ‘Are ye sb kya ho raha hai Jethiyaaaaa 😂😂😂’,” one of the fans wrote. Another joked, “7vi fail to dancer nikli re😂.” “Esiliye daya ahmdavad jane ki jidd krtihe,” a third comment read.

However, several of Disha Vakani’s fans also jumped into her defence. One of the users argued that “this is how an outsider is treated” in the showbiz world. Another wrote, “As a struggler, they have to do what work they get. Why judge them? Atleast she did her part of hard work and is not a nepo kid. Respect them. Whatever roles she got, she did it gracefully instead of begging or snatching it from Others.”
Disha Vakani used to play the iconic character of Dayaben in TMKOC. She went on an indefinite maternity leave in 2018 and has not returned ever since. The show’s maker, Asit Kumarr Modi, has often confirmed that the hunt for a new Dayaben is underway.
Just a few months ago, Asit Modi exclusively confirmed to News18 Showsha that Disha would not be returning to the popular sitcom. “It is difficult for her now (to return to the show). For women, life changes after marriage. Working with small children and managing the house is really a bit difficult for them. But I am still positive. I feel somewhere that god will do a miracle and she will return. If she comes, then it will be a good thing. If for some reason she does not come, then they will have to bring another Dayaben for the show.
