What comes as a tragic incident is that of a four-storey apartment tilted late Friday night.
The incident seem to have occured at Sairaj Apartment occurred at Sairaj Apartment, a ground plus four-story structure nestled in Alkapuri, Nalasopara.
It’s learned that Fire brigade and VVCMC officials immediately responded to the emergency, relocating the residents to a nearby hall for safety.
As per preliminary reports the tilting may have been caused by renovation work being conducted in a ground floor shop, though VVCMC officials have yet to confirm this assessment.
Structural engineers are scheduled to inspect the building to evaluate its stability and determine the next course of action.
