Amaal Mallik, the son of music director Daboo Malik, has made serious accusations against his uncle, Anu Malik, alleging that professional sabotage by Anu led to his father’s depression.
Over a media interaction Amaal opened up on the strained professional relationship amid the two brothers, both prominent figures in the Indian music industry. It’s Amaal’s claim that while Daboo and Anu share a closely-knit personal bond, professional jealousy and competition often marred their professional interactions.
Notwithstanding the rivalry, Amaal seeks to establish his own identity in music while distancing himself from Anu’s controversial past.
