Saiyaara director Mohit Suri shares his bond with cousin Alia Bhatt

Basking on the blockbuster success of his recently released directorial film “Saiyaara” Mohit Suri recalled over a media conversation on the people who stood by him right from the beginning and the emotional conversations that shaped his journey.

He further went on to recount how Alia Bhatt, his cousin, has been a constant cheerleader, long before she emerged as a star.
He further added that Alia has been a super advocate right from the teaser. Their bond spans ever since her childhood.
Reminiscing over an early memory, Suri said, he remembers meeting Bhatt Saab with the “Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein” remix video and Bhatt Saab was like, ‘What is this? What have you done to the song?’ And Alia, who was this young girl then, not an actress yet, just said, ‘Oh! It’s damn good.'”
“She’s always been that cousin who is super supportive. He sent her the trailer, and asked her to come for the trial, but she said, she prefers to watch it in the theatre with the audience and watch their reaction.
She actually went with the crowd and watched it in the theatre. Then she messaged him. She’s super supportive.”
Mohit Suri also spoke about the rock-solid presence of Mahesh Bhatt in his life. “Bhatt Saab has been a supporter all throughout, even before this film released. He (Suri) talked to him in the middle; Bhatt saab was very happy.
