Ramya Krishnan boards ensemble cast of Atlee-Allu Arjun project
South’s flexible actress Ramya Krishnan, celebrated for her memorable portrayal of Rajmatha Sivagami in the Baahubali series, has boarded the ensemble cast of the upcoming Allu Arjun-Atlee collaboration as a key character.
This is Ramya’s first collaboration with both Allu Arjun and Atlee. A close aide of the Padayappa actress confirms the development, stating that Ramya is already on board for AA22XA6, said to have a never-before-seen plot in Indian cinema.
A few months ago, production house Sun Pictures announced that they had brought together Allu Arjun, fresh off his blockbuster Pushpa 2, and Tamil director Atlee for a sci-fi action entertainer. Although Deepika Padukone has been named as the leading lady, Ramya’s addition to the cast has significantly raised anticipation.
It is speculated that Allu Arjun will play three generations of a family a grandfather, father, and two sons in the film.
Reportedly, Atlee is in talks with prominent actors like Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. The movie is rumoured to have a massive budget of over Rs 800 crore, a significant portion of which will be dedicated to VFX.
