Mahesh Bhatt compares Akshay to Tom Cruise for stunt performance

As Akshay was told of his promotion his latest film on the finale episode of Kapil Sharma’s show, director Mahesh Bhatt recalled an incident on.him where he performed a risky stunt on his film ‘Angaaray’.

Veteran filmmaker says that if Hollywood has Tom Cruise, who does his own deadly stunts, they have Akshay with his own stunts.A mere mention of the stunt will scare you. However, he actually didn’t watch it because he closed his eyes and ran towards the corner.

Bhatt further went on to explained how the sequence demanded Akshay to jump from one building to another, a move that could have ended disastrously.

Admitting, the director couldn’t bring himself to watch the stunt in real time. He shut his eyes and distanced. Then, after that deafening silence, something electrifying happened and people started clapping. When he heard the applause, he turned to see he had landed safely. His expression was as if nothing had happened. It’s his thinking that was the foundation on which he has come this far.
