Saira Banu wishes Hema Malini on her 77th birthday-recalls first meet

Legendary actress Saira Banu wished Hema Malini on her 77th birthday on 16 October and recalled their first meet and shared heartfelt memories and throwback photos of their long-standing camaraderie with Dilip Kumar to make it more special. She lauded Hema’s grace, charm, and enduring presence both on and off screen.

She also penned a heartfelt wish along with some of their memories spent together in the caption.
Saira Banu started her caption wishing the veteran actress on her birthday. She penned, “It fills my heart with joy to wish my dearest
She added, “Hema has always been a vision of grace, beauty, and quiet strength, a true “Dream Girl” not just on screen, but in every way she carries herself. The veteran actress recalled, she remembered her recent visit to their home so fondly, as they spoke for hours about old times, films and life. There is a gentleness about her spirit that remains unchanged through the years… and that is what makes her so deeply admired and loved by all.”
Saira Banu further wrote about her first meeting with Hema Malini. She said, she first met Hema in 1966, on the sets of Deewana at RK Studios, when she came along with her producer Anantswamy. She remembers being instantly taken by her serene beauty and grace.
“Later, they met again while shooting at the picturesque Krishna Raj Sagar Dam, our rooms were next to each other, and every evening my mother, Hema, her mother, and Saira would sit in the verandah chatting, exchanging beauty secrets, and sharing laughter that echoed into the night,” the veteran actress continued.
She added, She reminded her of how Amma used to put lobaan in her hair for that lovely fragrance, she laughed in surprise that she still remembered! Both Saira and Hema also spoke of how Dilip Sahib and she introduced her to the press in Madras; Hema remembered how kind Sahib had been that day, his words still etched in her heart.”
“Not long ago, Saira saw her dance so gracefully with Dharam Ji on a television show, the affection and comfort amid them warmed her heart. It reminded me once again of the beauty of lasting companionship,” added Saira Banu.

The veteran actress concluded her caption by writing, “Dearest Hema, may your days continue to shine with the same light and love you have always brought into the lives of others. Wishing you boundless happiness, peace, and good health always.”
