In succession when celebrities often share personal milestones and opinions online, Akshaye Khanna continues to stand apart. While the film is enjoying a strong box office run, several clips of Akshaye are back in the spotlight.
Amidst this Akshaye shares his 3 words of inspiration
A video from a 2019 roundtable discussion featuring the actor has resurfaced on social media and is now being widely shared. In the clip, the actor speaks on a simple life lesson that has stayed with him over the years. Akshaye recalls a quote he once came across. He says that if he had to sum up everything he has learned about life, it would come down to just three words: “It goes on.”

Meanwhile, Akshaye Khanna has always maintained a low public profile, rarely giving interviews or speaking about his private life. However, in a few conversations over the years, he has recounted on the experiences that shaped him. One of the most defining moments of his childhood was his father and legendary actor Vinod Khanna’s decision to step away from a flourishing film career to pursue spirituality. At the peak of his stardom, Vinod Khanna chose to follow Osho and moved to Rajneeshpuram in Oregon, leaving behind his wife Geetanjali Taleyarkhan and young sons Rahul and Akshaye in India.

Amidst a media interaction nterview Akshaye once recalled on that phase, admitting that as a
five-year-old, he was far too young to understand such a
life-altering choice. He explained that the idea of renunciation meant giving up everything, not just a career, but family life as well. Although, he couldn’t make sense of it at the time, he said that age and maturity have helped him see the decision with greater understanding, even if it came at a high emotional cost.

For those unversed Vinod Khanna and Geetanjali had married in 1971 and welcomed Rahul in 1972 and Akshaye in 1975. For a few years, the family lived a seemingly settled life. However, Vinod’s spiritual quest changed everything. After years of trying to manage the distance and uncertainty, Geetanjali eventually filed for divorce in 1985. Vinod Khanna returned to India in 1987, but by then, his marriage had already ended.
Besides family upheaval, Akshaye has also spoken candidly about his struggles with premature hair loss. In another media interaction, he shared how losing his hair at a very young age deeply impacted his confidence. He described the experience as emotionally shattering, comparing it to a pianist losing his fingers. For an actor in his late teens and early twenties, appearance, he said, is everything, and early balding felt devastating.
Apart from this, Akshaye has also been open about his decision to remain unmarried. In a 2012 interview with Bollywood Hungama, he explained that he enjoys a carefree life and does not wish to take on the responsibilities that come with marriage and children. He said he is content being accountable only to himself, a thought that continues to resonate with many today.

Now, Akshaye Khanna is being called ‘superstar 2025’ after giving outstanding performances in Chhaava and Dhurandhar. Dhurandhar is all set to cross Rs 300 crore mark at the box office in just 10 days.
