Global crisis causes delay in launch of Ramayana Part 1 launch
Reportedly, the launch event for Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated
Ramayana: Part One, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, has been deferred from its scheduled date of March 26, 2026, due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
Producer Namit Malhotra, determined that the evolving global climate was not the appropriate time to reveal the film’s first looks, as they aim for a major global rollout.
While a grand reveal of the cast’s looks was scheduled for Ram Navami (March 26, 2026) at Mumbai’s Gateway of India.
makers arrived to a decision to defer the launch owing to the evolving conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran, which has created a tense global scenario.
Hence, it has been decided by the producer that the promotional campaign, including the reveal of the characters, has been deferred to May 2026.
Although this initial promotion is delayed “Ramayana: Part One” is still aimed for a Diwali 2026 release, with Part two scheduled for 2027.
Infact, the team had already finalized the venue and other arrangements to reveal the looks of the leading stars at the famous Gateway of India in Mumbai.
Reports suggest that ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran has had a global impact. With the film targeted to cater to a global audience, the promotions are now expected to begin around May. The makers feel that the current situation is not the most conducive environment to reveal such an important aspect of the project, so they do not want to rush it.
