Indisputably, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 final between India and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
was an incredibly
one-sided affair, with India defeating New Zealand by 96 runs.

It was a historic, dominant performance by India, who defended their title and became the first team to win three T20 World Cup crowns.
India posted a record-breaking 255/5 in their 20 overs, the highest-ever total in a T20 Sanju Samson (89 off 46), Abhishek Sharma (52 off 21), and Ishan Kishan (54 off 25) dominated the Kiwi bowlers, putting on a massive opening partnership of 98 in just 7.1 overs.

It was a dominant bowling when New Zealand was bundled out for 159 in 19 overs, with Jasprit Bumrah (4-15) and Axar Patel (3-27) ripping through the batting lineup.
Aside from Tim Seifert’s 52 (26), New Zealand’s chase never gained momentum, confirming the one-sided nature of the final.
