Legendary singer Asha Bhosle revealed that amidst her intense, four-to-five-day car practice for the challenging song “Aaja Aaja Main Hoon Pyar Tera” from Teesri Manzil (1966), she kept repeating the song’s “O aa jaa, aah aah” hook.

The RD Burman composed song, featured a fast-paced, westernized style that made Bhosle hesitant about her ability to perform it.

She practiced the tune constantly while travelling in her car to master the “O aa jaa, aah aah” part. Upon arriving at her home in Haji Ali, her worried driver asked if she needed to go to the hospital because he misunderstood her vigorous rehearsals as a breathing struggle.

Before recording, she sought support from her sister, Lata Mangeshkar, who reminded her, “You are forgetting that you are a Mangeshkar first and later Bhosle.
