Tollywood actress and Bigg Boss Telugu contestant Ashu Reddy (Venkata Ashwini Reddy Koyya) has been booked for allegedly cheating a London-based software engineer of Rs 9.35 crore on the pretext of marriage.
The complaint, filed by the NRI techie’s father, alleges that the extortion0 happened over seven years (2018–2025).
After meeting in 2018, Ashu Reddy allegedly promised to marry the victim regardless knowing he was in the process of divorce.
Money was allegedly taken for a US education loan, cars, gold, and properties registered in her name.
Following receipt of the funds, the actress backed out of the marriage and reimburse the money.
Reportedly, the Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) police have booked her and three of her family members under Section 318 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (cheating).
