Prime Minister Modi on Saturday launched and laid the foundation stone for massive development projects worth approximately ₹1.06 lakh crore in Balotra, Rajasthan. The transformative package spans multiple sectors including petrochemicals, railways, roads, urban transport, and renewable energy to significantly boost industrial growth and connectivity in the state.
Key highlights of the develop
ment rollout include Petrochemicals & Energy: Advanced the work on the state’s first major greenfield refinery-cum-petrochemical complex (located at Padpadra in Barmer district) and multiple solar power and power transmission projects.
Aviation & Urban Transit: Unveiled the new heritage-inspired, eco-friendly terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and launched the revamped, multi-crore UDAN scheme to enhance regional connectivity. He also laid the foundation stone for Phase II of the Jaipur Metro.Employment: Distributed thousands of appointment letters as part of the nationwide Rozgar Mela to generate employment in the region.
