PM Modi Departs Melbourne for Historic New Zealand Visit

Prime Minister Modi departed Melbourne for Auckland, New Zealand, for the final leg of his three-nation diplomatic tour. The historic trip the first state visit by an Indian Prime Minister to New Zealand in four decades follows successful engagements in Australia, including 18 landmark pacts and a visit to the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Prime Modi has successfully wrapped up his crucial bilateral engagements in Australia and is advancing India’s growing ties in the Indo-Pacific.“India and Australia elevated their strategic partnership on Thursday by signing 18 landmark agreements spanning civil nuclear energy, defence, maritime security, critical minerals, cyber cooperation and trade.

The two leaders adopted a new joint declaration on defense. and security cooperation aimed at deepening military ties expanding maritime cooperation. and strengthening defense industry collaboration.
