The Maharashtra government has officially included the birth anniversary of the late Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Anantrao Pawar, in its state calendar of commemorative events. Starting in 2026, the anniversary will be observed every year on July 22.
According to the official circular, the observance will require all government and semi-government offices, schools, and colleges across the state to host commemorative programmes—including paying floral tributes to his portrait to honor his political contributions and public service.
