The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified its nationwide E20 Hatao, Vehicle Bachao campaign, culminating in a high-profile showdown in the national capital. On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, alongside senior leader Manish Sisodia and MP Sanjay Singh, led a planned march toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence. Carrying over 2.3 lakh public petitions, the delegation aimed to voice widespread consumer anxieties regarding the mandatory introduction of 20% ethanol-blended petrol (E20).
However, heavy deployments of Delhi Police and paramilitary forces intercepted the march on Firoz Shah Road, citing high-security protocols and a lack of official clearance. In response, Kejriwal and Sisodia staged an impromptu sit-in protest directly on the tarmac.
Although, the march was physically halted, the party successfully navigated the blockade to ensure the physical bundle of signed petitions reached the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) with formal receipt acknowledgment.

Speaking to media Bhardwaj further emphasised that the townhall meeting, led by Arvind Kejriwal, aims to bring people together from Delhi and neighbouring states.

The call was given by the newly-minted Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), born on social media and focused solely on demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
But the accrued discontent of the protesters went beyond anger over the spate of paper leak incidents. Their collective despair centred on what they saw as the government’s indifference and refusal to even acknowledge their concerns.
