Former Union Minister Dinesh Trivedi held a high-level meeting with Prime Minister Modi at his residence. The strategic briefing comes immediately after Trivedi’s extensive discussions yesterday with Tarique Rahman, the Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

Both leaders evaluated measures to safeguard vital trade corridors and supply chains from political volatility. Trivedi highlighted the economic necessity of seamless transit and maritime cooperation. He noted that infrastructure protection is vital for businesses operating across the subcontinent.PM Modi reiterated India’s commitment to its “Neighbourhood First” and “Act East” policies. He emphasized that a stable, peaceful, and economically integrated neighborhood is essential for mutual prosperity. The Prime Minister further expressed India’s readiness to support institutional mechanisms that ensure border security while fostering trade growth. According to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) the briefing underscores India’s proactive diplomatic engagement. The administration remains committed to working with all regional stakeholders to maintain regional balance, counter terrorism, and advance long-term economic development.
