In a major diplomatic breakthrough, Indian
Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping have provided a positive direction to bilateral relations, leading to an immediate protocol agreement to prevent operational miscalculations along their shared border.

Following high-level discussions in Beijing between Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the two rivals agreed to an eight-point roadmap to maintain stability along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
PM Modi and President Xi Jinping have established a clear framework to steer the two nations away from confrontation and toward structured boundary management.

Acting on instructions from New Delhi and Beijing, the military commands will establish two new hotlines in the eastern and central sectors to resolve field-level encounters instantly.
Special Representatives Ajit Doval and Wang Yi confirmed that both sides will accelerate negotiations to secure an early and substantial harvest of border agreements.
